Development prospect of fasteners

In 2012, China’s fasteners entered the era of “micro growth”. Although the industry growth slowed down throughout the year, in the medium and long term, the demand for fasteners in China is still in the stage of rapid growth. It is expected that the production and sales of fasteners will reach 7.2-7.5 million tons by 2013. In this era of “micro growth”, China’s fastener industry will still face continuous pressure and challenges, but at the same time, it also accelerates the industry reshuffle and the survival of the fittest, which is conducive to improving the industrial concentration, promoting the improvement of technology, optimizing the development mode, and making enterprises pay more attention to enhancing their independent innovation ability and core competitiveness. At present, China’s national economic construction is entering a new stage of development. Advanced manufacturing represented by large aircraft, large power generation equipment, automobiles, high-speed trains, large ships and large complete sets of equipment will also enter an important development direction. Therefore, the use of high-strength fasteners will increase rapidly. In order to improve the technical level of products, fastener enterprises must carry out “micro transformation” from the improvement of equipment and technology. Whether in variety, type or consumption object, they should develop in a more diversified direction. At the same time, due to the rising price of raw materials, the increasing cost of human and material resources, the appreciation of RMB, the difficulty of financing channels and other adverse factors, coupled with the weak domestic and export market and the oversupply of fasteners, the price of fasteners does not rise but falls. With the continuous shrinkage of profits, enterprises have to live a “micro profit” life. At present, China’s fastener industry is facing reshuffle and transformation, continuous overcapacity and decline in fastener sales, increasing the survival pressure of some enterprises. In December 2013, Japan’s total fastener export was 31678 tons, a year-on-year increase of 19% and a month on month increase of 6%; The total export volume was 27363284000 yen, an increase of 25.2% year-on-year and 7.8% month on month. The main export destinations for fasteners in Japan in December were Chinese mainland, the United States and Thailand. As a result, Japan’s fastener export volume increased by 3.9% to 352323 tons in 2013, and the export volume also increased by 10.7% to 298.285 billion yen. Both the export volume and export volume achieved positive growth for two consecutive years. Among the types of fasteners, except screws (especially small screws), the export amount of all other fasteners is higher than that in 2012. Among them, the type with the largest growth rate of export volume and export volume is “stainless steel nut”, with the export volume increasing by 33.9% to 1950 tons and the export volume increasing by 19.9% to 2.97 billion yen. Among fastener exports, the export volume of “other steel bolts” with the heaviest weight increased by 3.6% to 20665 tons, and the export volume increased by 14.4% to 135.846 billion Japanese yen. Secondly, the export volume of “other steel bolts” increased by 7.8% to 84514 tons, and the export volume increased by 10.5% to 66.765 billion yen. From the trade data of major customs, Nagoya exported 125000 tons, accounting for 34.7% of Japan’s fastener exports, winning the championship for 19 consecutive years. Compared with 2012, the export volume of fasteners in Nagoya and Osaka all achieved positive growth, while Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe and door division all achieved negative growth.
